On Sabbath, February 7, 2026 , Deacon Clement encouraged worshippers to be attentive to God’s voice, drawing lessons from Noah, Samuel, and Paul. He highlighted Noah’s faith in building the ark before the first rain, Samuel’s learning to recognize God’s voice under Eli’s guidance, and Paul’s transformative encounter on the road to Damascus.
“Discerning God’s voice requires walking closely with Him through prayer, worship, and scripture,” Deacon Clement said. “It also means knowing His ways, seeking guidance from mentors or fellow believers, and being ready to obey even when His call seems unexpected or difficult.”
He reminded the congregation that today’s world mirrors the days of Noah: “People are busy, distracted, and unaware of God’s calling. But just as Noah, Samuel, and Paul responded faithfully, we too can learn to discern and act on God’s guidance in our lives.”
Deacon Clement noted that, just as Noah, Samuel, and Paul responded to God’s voice amid uncertainty, believers today must cultivate spiritual intimacy and discernment. He emphasised that developing a close relationship with God equips individuals to recognise His call, trust His guidance, and act faithfully in their daily lives.
